Hurt in a knee during the second downhill training in Cortina d' Ampezzo, Dominique Gisin had taken part in the downhill (16th) next day but made the impasse on the Super Giant on Sunday to make medical examinations. On Tuesday, the Swiss skier was operated for the left knee in Muttenzer Rennbahnklinik by Dr Lukas Weisskopf and the wound turned out graver than planned. The hurt of the cartilage is rather important and a part of the meniscus must be removed. Dominique Gisin will be taken away from the circuit for approximately four months.
