Deux victoires pour deux athlètes hors-pairs qui lancent de la plus belle des manières ces championnats du monde de ski alpinisme à Pelvoux, Vallouise et Puy Saint Vincent.

HEUREUX, WILLIAM BON MARDION champion du monde de ski Alpinisme !!

Après une superbe « victoire en championnat du monde par équipe »(avec Mathéo Jacquemoud),William Bon Mardion assoie sa supériorité en décrochant, ce matin, le « titre de Champion du monde en individuel »à Pelvoux dans le Pays des Ecrins, coiffant au passage le favoris de la course. Juste un mot … magnifique !

Les femmes aussi sont à l’honneur avec Axelle Mollaret qui arrache à son tour le titre de« Championne du monde par équipe »(avec Laetitia Roux) !!

Ce matin, suite à l’épreuve de course individuelle elle vient ajouter à son jeune palmarès le titre de « championne du monde espoir »en se plaçant 3ème, après une belle remontée sur la dernière partie du parcours.11 ans que le ski alpinisme féminin ne nous avait pas offert une si belle victoire !! Bravo Axelle!

Une journée qui restera dans les annales !!

Les Championnats du Monde de ski alpinisme ont débuté dimanche dans le massif des Ecrins. Voici les premiers très bons résultats du Team Dynastar :

Course par équipe hommes 
1^er : William BON MARDION (Dynastar) – Matteo Jaquemoud (Trab)
3^e : une équipe 100% Dynastar avec Alexis Sevennec et Xavier Gachet

Course par équipe femmes    
1ère : Axelle MOLLARET (Dynastar) et Laetitia Roux (Trab)

Sprint individuel Junior garçon                           
1^er : Corentin CERUTTI (Dynastar)

Sprint Individuel cadette fille                               
1^ère : Adèle MILLOZ (Dynastar)

With her bib number 2, Nadia Fanchini has succeeded on this challenging slope of Schladming. During a long time, she was the leader but Marion Rolland crossed the finish line first with 0.16 seconds in advance. Team Dynastar racer becomes silver medallist of the downhill: “It’s a second birth for me in my career. Until now, I was desperate. I didn’t have the right feelings. I was on the top and season after season I have known injuries and the worst results. This medal is like a victory for me.”

The Italian wins her second World medal in downhill after the bronze in Val d’Isère 2009 World Championships. Maria Höfl-Riesch completes the podium. Team Dynastar is very proud of Nadia Fanchini for this medal. 

Dynastar: Dominique, you end 10th of the Super Combined. What were your feelings today?
Dominique Gisin:The Super Combined is already a question of organisation, it’s important! I’m satisfied of my downhill even if I had not the best bib today. It was better to start behind. I’m a little bit disappointed of the slalom, I wanted to attack more but I didn’t find the good rhythm. Unfortunately, I have not too much training in this discipline and it’s complicated for me.

Dynastar: How do you prepare the downhill on Sunday?
Dominique Gisin:I have good feelings. I should just find this missing second and after I know that I can be ahead. I will work on this first part of the downhill and find the solution.

Dynastar: How is the atmosphere here in Schladming?
Dominique Gisin:The ambiance is totally incredible. It’s crazy for the Austrians girls like Nicole Hosp who goes on the podium today. These World Championships are very nice!

When you’re competing in front of your home crowd, with the objective of winning the World Champion title, you’re obviously fighting for the first place…

On this face, we had to perform some big freestyle jumps because that’s what the judges and the spectators were waiting for. The line I had chosen then had not been done and I thought I had found a good option. I got caught out by the kick of my first jump, as was Sam Smoothy (winner ofthe Chamonix stop in 2012) wholeft right before me and gave me a crater to land inas a gift.

It’s becoming a habit to use up all my wild cards at the beginning of the season. Last year, the situation was even more uncomfortable than this year! I’m confident and I remain focused for the 3 stops to come.”

After only one day of rest, Aurélien was standing again at a starting line, but this time with the sailor Romain Attanasio (skipper in the Solitaire du Figaro) for the Trophée Mer Montagne which was taking place in Saint Gervais. On the 3^rd and 4^th of February, Aurélien has a short detour to the ISPO, Munich before making a movie with Dynastar in the Mont-Blanc massif and another one in Greenland with Warren Miller.

One busy month before the next stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour Kirkwood 2013 by The North Face in California, USA on February 27th.
