Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ski for bumps! The Twister is a fantastic mogul ski: light, quick, fun. I've skied mine for 20 days now and love the ability of these skis to be quick and allow me to vary my line on a moment's notice. They grab firm-to-icy snow pretty well and will manage carved turns on groomed runs without complaint. Because the Twister is a highly specialized ski, users should be cautious about choosing one: it's a narrow, short ski, so it is pretty awful in deep powder and not much better in heavier crud conditions. If you ski mogul runs at Mary Jane 80% of the time (like me), you can be very happy unless you see a big powder dump, but if you are a powder hound who doesn't like bumps, this ski isn't for you. As for me, I'm wondering which Dynastar ski I should buy for powder days because I have a great everyday ski!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The bestI've been skiing on twisters for 10 years. Expert skier. Tried other skis and have always come back to these. Nothing else has the same combo of lightness, pop and just pure fun. Only in the deep pow do I wish for something else. The retro design of the previous skin (looks like vintage 80's dynastar gs ski) always gets comments too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Dynastar Twister mogul skis!I signed up for the Masters Freestyle program at Winter Park, CO a few years ago (i.e. coaching on skiing moguls 3 days a week), and was on an intermediate skier on shaped skis when I started. Everyone else had mogul skis which I didn't even know existed. I borrowed the instructor's skis and was instantly 50% better -- they are very narrow which makes it possible to go from edge to edge very quickly. I bought Dynastar twisters because they were are more flexible than say Volkl skis. I loved my Dynastar twisters, but after 2-3 years skiing on them everyday (204 days last year), one finally broke just behind my boot -- time to buy some new ones. I'm glad they are still available. Those are my beloved Twisters in the picture at Northstar a couple of years ago. They're fine in powder up to 3-4 inches -- though it took a while to get used to that. They are best on groomed runs and packed powder on mogul runs. I would say I am now an advanced skier, aspiring to be expert. Only when there is fresh deeper powder would I not ski on my Twisters.

Hi My hight is 162 and I want to purchase the twister I've been told for mogul sking I need to get a ski my size or up to 10 cm short but the shortest twister is 168 please advice

Asked by: Hapali
Hello, We recommend you to use the FREESTYLE skis, like the TWISTER, on your height with more or less 5cm. The TWISTER 168 is a good ski for your size. Good skiing! The Dynastar Team!

Why is the recommended binding the look 14 and not the look 18 binding? Looking to purchase with the best option?

Asked by: marcus
Hello, Either binding will be an excellent choice for the Twister as long as you select the 75 mm brake. The Pivot 14 was recommended because the average consumer for the Twister does not generally require an 18 din binding. To see the skis and bindings in person, stop in to your local retailer and check them out. Below is an online link to our dealer locator: http://storefinder.dynastar.com/l/list?cc=fr_FR Thank You!
