Today is 31th anniversary of Reine Barkered our favorite Swedish athlete, it is an opportunity to come back to the year that has passed and ask him some questions about his season with Dynastar.
With three podiums you finish second overall on the FWT this season only a few points of a new title of world champion.
Your feel about this season, your performances but also your disappointments?
R.B: I had a lot of fun this season, even though the mountains have been a little bit small (I like the big lines) I am very happy with my results but I little disappointed in my own skiing because I know I could have done a lot better, still its the little things every competitions that makes the difference so sometimes you can only ski and hope for the best.
Your feeling about the Dynastar skis?
R.B: There is no other brand that have the skis that i require to ski my very best, Stable but at the same time flexible so you can use them in any terrain. Dynastar have a long history of building the best skis and it really shows.
An anecdote to share with us, during your Trips or your competitions?
R.B: One day in Courmayeurwe where going for an inspection run next to our venue. 60 of the worlds best riders where let loose at the same time on an epic run with deep powder. It was amongst the coolest things I’ve seen when all dropped in sending cliffs to right and left virtually destroying the whole face, no crashes just super good skiing. Wish I had filmed it.
“Words to Live By”
R.B: Decide what to be, and go be it.
Reine is 31 years old, and is one of the most respected riders in the world of freeride. Once again we can count on him for the next season to lead the FWT and regain his title of world champion.
Happy Birthday!
