It was the first stage of the SkiCross World Cup in Nakiska, Canada and Jonas Devouassoux has won his first World Cup here! In the final, the racer from Team Dynastar has taken the lead and has crossed the finish line first ahead of Armin Niederer and Brady Leman. Our 2013 World Champion, Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, finishes fourth.
“The race was perfect. Everything went well. I'm really happy with the result. It's my first podium, and to begin with a win is just incredible. Out of the start I was first, and I was just thinking 'Now I have to ski faster than the other ones,' and tried to get to the bottom as fast as I could. This year we (the French) have a good team, so we hope to be on the podium again and again. But every race is different, so we'll see.” (Quote: Fis Ski)
For the ladies, Alizée Baron ended finally 7th but she was happy of this result: “What a relief! I set a great deal of pleasure and it didn’t happen for a long time during a race… It’s a good beginning of season! Congratulations to Choooonas (Jonas Devousassoux) for his victory and thanks for your support.”
