The SkiCross Worldcup starts this weekend in Nakiska, Canada. Dynastar Team has trained a lot, both physically and on skis, since the last spring and cannot wait to face its competitors at the starting gates. Supported by Enak Gavaggio, our SkiCross advisor, we followed them this summer during their training session at Val d’Isère on the Pissaillas Glacier to make you discover the backstage of this French Team.
*OBJECTIVES CLEARLY DEFINED
Jean-Frédéric Chapuis (World Champion 2013): “I want to be confident even though we know our sport can be uncertain. We can fall at any moment or fail the start, but as far as I am concerned I always give my best, because I don’t want any regret. I am dreaming about going to the Olympic Games, but before all I will have to get qualified since we are eight racers for four places. After, everything is going to be possible!”
Marion Josserand (Bronze medallist at the Vancouver Olympic Games 2010): ” I had some troubles with my knee and I have felt behind my physical training. I won’t necessarily set objectives immediately because first of all, I want to recover completely. The goal is to be in plenty form for the Olympic Games and to stand up for my medal.”
*A UNIQUE ADVISOR: ENAK GAVAGGIO
Enak Gavaggio (Bronze medallist at World Championship 2007): ”Dynastar is a team who has come to its prime of life. The riders are performant, generous and involved. They also have a complete confidence in their equipment and there is no doubt we will see them on podiums this winter.”
